The long beach of Kalamata, with fine pebbles and sand, stretches for 2.5 kilometers and is rightly considered one of the most beautiful spots of the city. You can reach the beach on foot or by bike from any point for a pleasant swim, while along the beach (Leoforos Navarinou) there are all kinds of shops, such as cafes, restaurants, hotels, etc.
The beach of Kalamata has been awarded the Blue Flag many times for its clean and calm waters, while most of it is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. There is also the possibility of water sports, while there are lifeguards on the shore for safer swimming. The easternmost part of the beach is considered to be the best point and therefore it is also the most crowded.
